Calm games for children aged 4 to 8
Together with Pip, a round little fox, your child explores an island full of games. Everything works with one finger and without reading: Pip explains it all.

Six islanders welcome your child, each in their own place on the island.
Pop the bubbles on pop-it biscuits, find colours, count and copy patterns.
Colour in pictures with a bucket, brush, crayon and stamps, or draw freely on a blank page.
Decorate your own room, stick on stickers and see your drawings on the wall.
Jigsaws from 4 to 24 pieces and a shape sorter.
Trace letters in the right writing direction and make words with letter blocks.
Pick and count vegetables, trace numbers, fill baskets and try the first sums.
Build freely with blocks and copy models. Your best building then stands on the island.
The games adjust by themselves: if it goes well, it gets a little harder; if it is tricky, it gets easier again. A mistake is never a problem: Pip gives a hint and the hand points the way. Every few rounds your child earns a sticker for the sticker book.
The Pop Bakery, the Paint Shed and My Little House are free. One purchase in the parents' corner (Whole island) also opens the Puzzle Mill, the Letter Wood, the Number Garden and Block Harbour, for every profile on the device. No subscription, and children never see a buy button in the app.

It all started with a simple pop-it game for my son. I'm Dirk, a dad of two young children and a software developer (not a game developer, by the way). Looking for a simple pop-it game, I kept finding apps full of adverts and loud, shouty music: not what I wanted for my little boy. So I decided to make one myself.
My daughter loved it too, and together we came up with Play Island: calm games, just for fun, with no winning or losing. You do earn stickers. They hang on the bunting on the island, and you can use them to decorate your own little house.
So why pay for part of the island? Making an app, keeping it up to date and putting it in the Play Store costs money. That's why so many free apps are full of adverts. I don't want that, and I promise there will never be adverts in Play Island. Instead, I ask for a small one-off contribution, with no subscription. It lets me maintain, improve and expand the app. I hope you understand. I'll keep adding to the island, both the free part and the paid part.
Play Island is made for children. The app collects no data, works completely offline (only the purchase needs the internet), never asks for any permissions and sends no notifications. You can read how I handle privacy in the privacy policy at play-island.com/privacy.
I hope your family enjoys it as much as my children do.
