Play Island privacy policy

Play Island is an app with games for children aged 4 to 8. In short: the app collects no data, and neither does the website.

What data does the app collect?

None. The app sends nothing over the internet, has no accounts, no adverts, no analytics and no third-party components that collect data. Nothing is shared with or sold to anyone.

What is stored on the device?

What a child makes in the app stays on the device: the profiles (a name if you enter one, age group, language and the chosen character), drawings, stickers, buildings and the settings of the parents' corner. Only the app can access them. If you delete the app, all of this is gone.

The Whole island purchase

Part of the island opens with one purchase in the parents' corner, behind a parental gate. The purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. The app only asks Google Play whether the purchase has been made; it never sees payment details, names or email addresses. Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) applies to the purchase. Why part of the island costs money is explained in “Why Play Island?” on the home page.

Children

The app is made for children and collects no personal data from them. A child cannot reach settings, purchases or outside links in the app: these are behind the parental gate, and there are no outside links.

Permissions

The app does not ask for access to the camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos, and sends no notifications. It uses the device's vibration for a short buzz when a button is tapped.

This website

play-island.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no fonts, scripts or images from anyone else. Like every web server, the server keeps a technical log (such as IP address and time) to keep the site safe; it is deleted after a short time and not used for anything else.

If you email me

I only use your email address and your message to reply to you, and I don't keep them longer than necessary. You can always ask me to delete your emails.
